A short-notice reminder of a great event tonight in Wellington, as three of Wellington's architects present new work, in a curiously titled Lecture, well worth an enquiry, and it's free! Which is great, because there will be some talent on show!

Organised by the Architectural Centre, "The Art of the Contemporary House, featuring 3 works of architecture by acclaimed local architect members of the Architectural Centre.  It promises to be an evening of education, erudition and entertainment." No doubt!

THURSDAY, August 18, School of Architecture, Vivian St.
Nibbles at 5.40pm, Lecture from 6.00-7.30pm.

CBD Points will be available for bulk purchase at the door, sizes available XS-4XL.
Or just sign the bit of paper.

The three speakers will be:

Simon Twose, also Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture, will present the Concrete House (recently nominated for Home of the Year):

Sam Kebbell, of Kebbell Daish Architects and Lecturer at the School of Architecture will discuss 'Humbug', a new residence just south of Melbourne, which featured in the latest issue of Houses Australia:

Judi Keith-Brown will present new extensions to a house by Frederick de Jersey Clere:

All looks great! Be sure to ask what exactly the art of the contemporary house might be on my behalf.

I'm obviously joking about the CPD, although I wish there was a CPD black-market, or maybe there could be a CPD Point Parcel auctioned off at the end of every event.
